Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock incluirá características nuevas entre las que se encuentra un modo batalla multijugador, brutales combates contra los jefes del rock, un montón de contenido exclusivo para desbloquear y espectaculares salas de conciertos de rock. Los modos multijugador en línea ampliados permitirán a los rockeros de todo el mundo competir frente a frente para alcanzar la categoría de auténtica leyenda del rock. Si bien se conservan todas las características de sus legendarias actuaciones anteriores, se ofrecerán nuevos contenidos para descargar en múltiples plataformas, y los jugadores podrán ahora rockanrolear con una increíble lista de canciones que incluye muchos de los temas del rock más populares que existen.
